Exchange Listings - A New Frontier

In 1995 Patrick Healy launched the very first stock exchange listings consulting practice for publicly traded companies. It was a very different world back then as the NYSE and AMEX used floor-based specialists (real live humans) to match buyers and sellers. Nasdaq was the only fully electronic equity market for companies to list their shares. The young upstart quickly became the home to legendary growth companies - far too many to reference here and most of whom continue to be listed there today.

The Incredible Sea Change

Market reforms kicked into high gear in the new millennium as human participation took a back seat to greater electronic trading and the competition for listings intensified. Our little venture, Issuer Network, went on to become the undisputed leader in advising companies about listing on the exchanges. The cobranding packages we have negotiated for our clients are legendary. In fact, we have listed more companies on the NYSE and Nasdaq than anyone in history – quite a remarkable achievement. Most corporate financial executives and their bankers, while familiar with the markets, are not positioned to truly unlock the economic and branding benefits of this competition. Realizing these tangible benefits for your shareholders is a massive cobranding opportunity and vitally important!

Issuer Network Forms Practice Groups

Fast forward to 2020. To say that the Pandemic has crushed the economic vitality of the world is an understatement. Still, following a couple of tough quarters, the listings window reopened to new ways of going pubic along side traditional IPO’s. SPAC’s and Direct Listings now abound and make the Issuer Network’s role even more vitally important. Hence, we have diversified into four distinct practice areas:

  • SPAC’s & deSPAC’s
  • Direct Listings
  • Traditional IPO’s, and
  • Exchange Switches

Details of each of these Practice Groups follows.
